Inspecting the Heavy Accident Damage
This white van came to the workshop with heavy accident damage on the left side. The left side of the vehicle had been pushed far inward, causing significant damage to the body panels.
The damage was not limited to a small dent. A large section of the left side had moved from its original position, so the first stage of the job was to inspect the damaged area and plan the denting work.
The vehicle also needed a complete paint job, so the body had to be properly repaired and prepared before moving to the painting stage.

Starting the Body Repair
Because the left side had been pushed significantly inward, the damaged body needed to be pulled outward to bring the metal and body section back toward its proper position.
The denting stage was an important part of the repair. The body was carefully worked on to restore the damaged areas before preparing the vehicle for putty and paint.
Repairing the Heavily Damaged Left Side
After inspecting the accident damage, the main repair work was started on the left side of the van. The damaged section had been pushed far inward, so the body needed to be brought back toward its proper position before the surface could be prepared for painting.
The damaged area was opened up where necessary so the affected metal and body section could be worked on properly. The repair was carried out carefully to restore the damaged side and prepare it for the next denting stage.
The left-side body repair was a major part of the job because the accident had caused the body to move significantly from its original position.

Completing the Denting Work
After around 10 days of body repair and denting work, the heavily damaged left side was brought back into shape. The main accident damage had been repaired and the body was prepared for the next stage.
At this point, the van was ready to move from the main denting work to the surface preparation and full-body paint process.
Before starting the paint preparation, I checked the repaired panels and other areas of the vehicle that needed attention. The old paint and existing putty would then be prepared for the next stage.

Applying Putty to the Repaired Areas
After completing the main denting work, I started preparing the van for the complete paint job. First, I used 140-grit sandpaper over the vehicle to prepare the existing surface. The areas where old putty was already present were sanded and the old putty was removed.
After preparing the surface, I applied new body putty to the areas that still had dents and required surface correction. Putty was applied across the repaired sections of the van to bring the surfaces into a more even condition before the next sanding stage.
I worked over the different body panels and made sure the repaired areas were covered with putty where needed. Once the putty work was completed, the vehicle was ready for sanding with water.

Sanding and Finishing the Putty
After applying the body putty, the repaired areas were sanded with sandpaper and water. The sanding was done carefully over the putty areas to smooth the surface and remove uneven marks.
I continued the sanding work across the repaired sections until the body was ready for the next stage. Once the putty sanding was completed, the van was prepared for the full-body paint.

Preparing the Van for Painting
After completing the putty ceting, I checked the repaired body panels and prepared the complete van for paint. The surface was now ready for the final painting process
Applying the Final Paint
After completing the putty sanding and preparing the body, the van was ready for the complete paint work.
I prepared the paint by adding thinner and hardener and mixed it properly before putting it into the spray gun. The paint was then applied over the vehicle, including the repaired areas.
The repaired body now had an even white finish, and the areas that had previously been damaged or prepared with putty were covered with the new paint.
