Hyundai Elantra Rear Fender and Bumper Putty Work Before Painting
After completing the denting work, the repaired areas of the Hyundai Elantra’s rear fender and bumper were sanded using 220-grit sandpaper with water. The surfaces were then cleaned, and the old putty was removed from the damaged areas where the body surface needed further repair.
New body filler was applied to the repaired areas to smooth out the surface. After the filler dried, it was sanded to achieve an even finish. Red putty was then applied over the repaired areas to fill small imperfections, followed by sanding with 400-grit sandpaper.
Once the putty work and sanding were complete, compressed air was used to remove dust and moisture. Finally, the rear fender and bumper were masked with paper to protect the surrounding areas and prepare them for painting.
